As Kernel has grown to include Funds, KiwiSaver, Shares, ETFs, and Savings products, many of you have grown with us, building more diversified portfolios across multiple products.
But with that growth came some clear feedback:
Keeping a consolidated view across the product suite was starting to feel harder than it should.
Too much navigating. Not enough visibility.
So, we’ve rebuilt the dashboard experience. What you get: a dashboard that helps you understand your portfolio faster, stay on top of performance, and focus more on where you’re headed.

What’s new?
A clearer portfolio overview
Your full portfolio now sits front and centre.
You can view holdings across Funds, Shares, ETFs, KiwiSaver, and Savings alongside pending, processing, and recurring orders - all from your main dashboard.
Easily filter and review past activity, while keeping track of pending and recurring orders. With less time spent navigating, you’ll find yourself thinking about what to add next.
Unified Explore page
Finding new investments just got faster. Browse funds, shares, ETFs and Save solutions all from one Explore page.
Plus on desktop, jump straight to search from anywhere in the dashboard with Ctrl + K (windows) or Command + K (Mac) - less clicking, more investing.
Organise your portfolio, your way
You can now organise your assets into custom views that make sense for your life.
Whether you’re separating a house deposit from your retirement fund, or grouping assets by sector and strategy, it’s easier to view and track your progress toward every big milestone.
Smarter KiwiSaver rebalancing
You can now rebalance your KiwiSaver investment by redirecting future contributions to your preferred funds, without moving existing investments.
No time out of the market, no unintended tax consequences. A small change that makes a meaningful difference for long-term investors.
Richer insights and performance tracking
We’ve upgraded portfolio insights with more detailed graphs and expanded time filters, so you can zoom out or drill into the detail in seconds.
Performance graphs now live inside your custom views. Simply organise the assets you want to track into a group to see how that slice of your portfolio is performing over time, whether that’s all your funds together or a combination of assets you’ve chosen. It’s a more flexible way to view performance, built around how you think about your money.
A more refined experience
Alongside the new functionality, we’ve refreshed the dashboard with a cleaner, more modern design throughout.
The goal wasn’t simply to add more features.
It was to reduce friction, surface the right information faster, and better support you on your investing journey.
What's not changing
You'll feel at home straight away. Your investments, returns history, transaction records, goals and account settings are all exactly where you'd expect them. If you've set up recurring orders or have investments across multiple products, those are all intact and now easier to find than before.
The new dashboard is designed to feel immediately familiar, just noticeably better.
And we’re just getting started
The new dashboard interface is now live for all Kernel users across desktop and mobile. But this is more than a refresh - it's the foundation for what's coming next, including the Kernel app arriving later this year.
