If your verification failed during the application process it means we could not match the details entered on your account to a registered database. Our team can manually verify you once you have emailed through a NZ identification and proof of address. Read our full FAQ.
The adviser fee is separate, but overlayed, to Kernel’s underlying fund management fees.
Advisers can charge a fee of up to 0.50% in addition to our underlying annual fund management fee - for example, if our High Growth Fund’s annual management fee is 0.25%, the adviser fee is an additional 0.50% - the total fee that the customer would therefore pay is 0.75% (maximum).
Yes! Kernel offers kids accounts that can be opened for those aged under 18. You will need the child’s IRD number, NZ passport or birth certificate and your own NZ passport or driver's license. Read how the application process works here. If the child does not yet have an IRD number and you are their parent or legal guardian you can apply with the IRD online.
Yes. Kernel’s S&P 500 funds are available within the Kernel KiwiSaver Plan, so you can choose an allocation alongside your other KiwiSaver investments. Learn more about Kernel KiwiSaver.
All our products are available to New Zealand residents. While our Kernel KiwiSaver plan is currently only available to individuals over 18, we can open Invest accounts for kids, trusts and companies.
